Today was not a good day for baby Kyle. He developed an infection last night and it has taken a toll on his body, specifically his blood pressure. He therefore had to go on antibiotics, more blood pressure medicine and was taken off his milk. Because of this and other complicating factors, he has taken on more fluid, which doesn't help the swelling problem. More swelling (edema) equals more pressure on the lungs, and so on and so forth and so on . . . All this to say, while it has been a relatively small setback for Kyle's healing process, the day has had a devastating effect on Shiloh and me.

I'm thankful that my morale is not a determining factor in Kyle's success. May all who read this not fall to the temptation that our prayers fall upon deaf ears. The Lord our God WILL have the victory in Kyle's life - one way or the other.

Thank you for your prayers for Kyle and for our family.

  2. Lord, please speak encouraging words to these dear members of my family when we don't have the words to say to them. Be gracious to them O' Lord according to Your loving kindness. Respond to them God according to Your good pleasure. Certainly Lord, there is no such thing as Your bad pleasure; it is not in Your character. Give Steve and Shiloh a peace that passes the World's understanding. Strengthen them almighty God during the long walks and difficult nights.

Make no mistake, Kyle is in God's hands as much as anyone reading this blog. God is no less able to give him his next breath as He is any one of us! Thank you God for this precious child, continue to use him to bring glory to Yourself.

--Here is some truth coming at you:
Romans 8:18- I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Romans 8:26- In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

Romans 8:38- For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Luke 18:16- But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

    Love you guys,
    Brandon

  5. Steve & Shiloh,

You and your precious family continue to be in our prayrs. Below are a couple of verses we especially like in times when strengh is needed. Blessing to your sweet family:

    Isaiah 40:28-29
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

    Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

    Isaiah 43:2-3
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers; they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God ...

May God give you peace, hope, and rest today!

  8. PRAYING FOR STEVE,SHILOH,ABIGAIL AND BABY KYLE

We are here for his glory and know that our sweet Lord has plans.

    God reminds us:
Matthew 6:8 Your father knows what you need before you ask him.

He knows your hearts and Baby Kyles and knows already our prayer before we even ask.

2 Timothy 1:12 I know whom I believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.

We are trusting God to do what He needs to in Baby Kyles life one day at a time.

    Love you -- The Ukles
